let's discuss the intricacies

of math rock and watch turtles swim.

let's sit in silence writing

poetry. let's get drunk

off our asses; groan, sway, fall

into a heap, a tangle

of love. let my head sit

in the crook of your shoulder

so i can hear your heartbeat.

then let's get back up

and punch each other square

in the jaw.

if my knees give out,

catch me-- i promise

i'll return the favor sooner or later.

probably we were meant

to be siblings. probably we're

from the same star. hey --
